To keep up the pace of the never ending series of curl releases, I've just
now made the first 7.9.8 pre-release available on the beta page of the web
site:

Changes in this version include:

 o CURLOPT_NETRC now supports optional or required netrc mode
 o Bugfix: re-using a connection over a proxy could do bad Host: headers
 o Bugfix: CURLOPT_POST with a "" string could lead to a crash.
 o curl_formadd() now returns a CURLFORMcode type, not a plain int.
 o Bugfix: better certificate loading
 o Bugfix: Name resolve crash on platforms without *_r() functions removed
 o Bugfix: minor compiler problems on FreeBSD fixed
