The lib/Makefile.vc6 has been updated since the 7.9.5 release, perhaps you're
seeing a problem already corrected?

Try replacing your version with the very latest from the CVS:

http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/curl/curl/lib/Makefile.vc6?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/plain
