HTTP POST limitation

Hello,
There seems to be a limitation with the HTTP POST Request (-d flag). The
request seems to truncate and send on another line when it hits a certain
length (which is at less than 400 characters). Is this a real limitation
under all platforms or only under Cygwin? Anyone have a workaround for this?
I have a lot of data I need to post...
