Summary: IBM site problem with curl?

Initial Comment:

% curl -I http://www.ibm.com

prints IBM home page, where as I expected only the head
Is this a problem with IBM site or a bug in curl?

% curl -I http://www.{microsoft,ibm}.com

works the way expected, but

% curl -I http://www.{ibm,microsoft}.com

does NOT work the way expected!!
