ANNOUNCE: curl 7.6
Date: Sat, 27 Jan 2001 17:08:53 +0100 (MET)
I'm pleased to announce another revision number bump in the never-ending
series of curl releases.
Curl and libcurl 7.6 includes the following changes:
* HTTP PUT resume
* fixed 'total time' counter to be more accurate
* possible SSL-read problem fixed (which could make curl return empty HTML)
* initial but still basic IPv6 adjustments
* no length restrictions on URLs anywhere in the libcurl code
* supports building outside the source-tree
* -g/--globoff was added to disable the URL globbing
* command line options can be written "merged" -ofile equals -o file
* includes make-target for 'automatic' RPM package creation
* added multiple URL support on the command line
* krb4-ftp fixed
* massive symbol renaming of libcurl internals to decrease name pollution
People that have made this release possible include (in no special order):
Bob Schader, Rick Jones, Jeff Morrow, Ingo Ralf Blum, Robert Weaver, Björn
Stenberg, Francis Dagenais, Loic Dachary and myself.
