Your question is of such technical nature that few of us can answer it. And
unfortunately Daniel (the author) is on vacation right now and won't be back
until late July.

A few ideas, though:

* Have you tried with the v7 beta? I know the ASCII transfer on win32 has been
discussed a bit, maybe there's been a change.

* Why is the binary file useless? Would it be possible to (as an interim
solution) simply translate the binary file into the text format you want? I
don't know what format the Tandem uses, but surely a simple 'tr' line could
work?
